This blog is authored by members of the "White Folks Group"-- a group made up, predominantly, of White Americans seeking to examine how injustices related to race persist in America today.
We are aware of the innate privileges that American society affords to White people due to skin color and of the injustices that others suffer because of skin color. People of color, even when household income is taken into account, still experience disparities in terms of health care, education, and socioeconomic stability.
The purpose of this blog is to compile facts and information about these privileges and injustices.

Just thought I would give it a try.
BTW, I may not be able to come to our meeting this coming Monday, de pending on whether I have to go to an Obama campaign action. I feel really good about our team -- we have 3000 contacts with targeted voters to make between now and the election, and we are making about 300 per action right now.
